Not only Tanzania has built its reputation as destination because of its national parks, natural reserves and Mount Kilimanjaro, But Zanzibar island is an interesting destination. Zanzibar is a paradise-like island near the Tanzanian coast. Zanzibar is composed of the Zanzibar Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, 25–50 km off the coast of the mainland, and consists of many small islands and two large ones: Unguja (the main island, referred to informally as Zanzibar) and Pemba Island. The capital is Zanzibar City, located on the island of Unguja. Its historic centre is Stone Town, which is a World Heritage Site. An island of spice and exotic aromas, sultans' palaces, harems, shining white beaches and fiery red sunsets. Adventure travelers will enjoy discovering Zanzibar.
